About the programmeWe believe that Black women, Black LGBTQ+ and Black non-binary people are central to the future of the Black community.
We've created this program to ensure that Black women and non-binary Black people are supported to build social community projects for the benefit of local Black communities in the UK. The "How to be a Community Leader" Programme is for people that care about making a difference but have no clue how to do so effectively. Participants will have access to a 12-week in-depth expert-led program that will support you in understanding the key tools and resources you need to start and build an impactful community. |

Criteria
- Participants must demonstrate a strong interest in creating a social impact organisation or community project
- Participants goal must be to support predominantly Black communities
- Participants must be based in the UK
- Participants must commit to join each weekly training session across the 12 weeks
- Participants must identify as Black women or Black LGBTQ + or Black non-binary

Yes. We have categories to help us adequately place people in streams. Here are the categories, which you will see are pretty wide, but our central focus is to provide support to Black people in the UK.

- Community Spirit: Creating a borough that residents are proud of and love to live in
- Democracy: Encourage participation in local democracy and representation on various bodies and in our processes, from people who may normally feel free excluded from, or underrepresented in, our decision-making
